About

I'm Julie. A senior in college preparing to enter the real world, I find nothing wrong with being a little bit asymmetrical. I believe that balance does not always define perfection because after all, who wants to be a square?

I  like to follow topics on every end of the spectrum; music, health, media, technology. The limit to my interests are endless, and this blog is my outlet to share that with you. I show my personality through my sense of humor, and think it is an effective way of communicating who I am.

I started this page in January of 2014. It was always a thought in the back of my mind, but for one reason or the other I never acted upon it. At the ripe age of 21 I'm not getting any younger. Based on this fact one day after too many cups of coffee I decided to follow through (it was actually only one cup but I have a really low caffeine tolerance). If you're wondering I pulled my first gray today... so my quarter-life crisis is live and premature.

Coming up with a name for the blog was hard, and after a solid 30 seconds I decided to name it "Book of Julieism's". To me it sounded like a pun on the Book of Judiasm. Although this page is not religiously affiliated whatsoever or meant to mock any religion, I consider it a digital book of all different things that compose who I am. Think of "Julieism's" as my insight. My bits of wisdom and lack thereof. If what went on inside my head was put onto a map, it would probably lead you to a mysterious galaxy somewhere light years away. So instead I try my best to cohesively put it into this blog.

"Channeling the inner amateur since 1992" was the tagline I decided to stick with. By no means am I an expert on any of the subjects that I write about (unless it's Betty White or yogurt). But, for as long as I can remember, when something peaks my curiosity I look into it.

Thanks for stopping by, and visiting my page! If you'd like to give any input I am open to suggestions. Just click the "Contact" tab at the top of this page and fill out the pre-made form. Have a glorious day!
